Answers, in plain language.
What should I share first?
Share basic timing, location, relationship, and what daily routine is becoming difficult. Keep medical specifics for a secure intake path or direct conversation.
What is the difference between home care and home health care?
Home health care is medical care that a licensed clinical provider orders and delivers. Harmony provides non-medical home care and support: help with daily routines, meals, household tasks, companionship, and bathing or dressing. Requests that need clinical treatment are pointed toward a properly licensed clinical provider.
Do you help with meals, errands, and light housekeeping?
Yes. Meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and linens, and grocery shopping and errands are all part of non-medical home care and support. The first conversation confirms which tasks matter most at home.
Do you help with bathing and dressing?
Yes. Caregivers can help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, along with mobility and transfer assistance. Harmony confirms which hands-on tasks fit before care starts.
Can we start with a few hours a week?
Many families start small. The current public minimum is 4 hours per day, and visits can be scheduled around the routines that need the most support. Days, times, and frequency are confirmed during follow-up.
Can care start right away?
Possibly, but it depends on Montgomery and Chester County caregiver coverage, schedule fit, scope, and the 4 hours per day minimum. Same-day starts are not guaranteed.
Can care change as needs change?
Yes. Routines change, and the schedule should change with them. After the first visit or first week, Harmony confirms what worked, what changed, and what needs adjustment, and the care routine is updated from there.
Will we have the same caregiver?
Families usually want a familiar face, and that preference belongs in the first conversation. We will talk through who the caregiver would be, how steady the schedule can be, and what happens if the match is not right.
What if my parent does not want help?
That is common, and it deserves patience rather than pressure. Many families start with one small routine, such as meal preparation or a weekly errand, and let trust build from there. The free consultation can help the family talk through a gradual first step.
Does Harmony provide medical care?
Harmony helps with everyday life at home, not medical care. Treatment, therapy, wound care, giving medication, and carrying out a doctor's orders all need a licensed clinical provider instead.
What does care cost?
Costs depend on location, schedule, visit length, level of help, and service type. The public minimum shift is 4 hours per day. Harmony confirms current rates and payment options during a direct conversation.
Can referral partners send a lead?
Yes. Use the secure referral form and share only what is needed for us to follow up. Please keep medical records and identifiers out of public forms and ordinary email.
What should not go in the public contact form?
Do not send diagnoses, medication lists, insurance IDs, Medicare or Medicaid numbers, Social Security numbers, clinical documents, or urgent symptoms.
Talk to someone about the care you need.
Call 267-416-0721 and we can talk it through. Consultations are free. If you would rather write it down, the secure form is the safe place for care details.
